KMŠ Stage | music | Concert

The soul train is again waiting for you at this year’s Festival Lent to take you to Batista Cadillac’s closing act of the KMŠ Stage.

The firmly grooving core of what is today a six-member band known as Batista Cadillac has been formed from the very beginning by singer Urban Lutman and guitar player Matija Koritnik, who first sent Slovenia into a frenzy with their appearance in the show Slovenia’s Got Talent where they made the finals on the golden buzzer. Aside from an ever-growing audience, their fusion of soul, funk, rock, and blues attracted some big names of Slovenian music – starting with Thomas March on the song Neviden (Ali veš, da me ljubiš?) and followed by funk-jazz band Pijammies or P’Jays, who joined the band at the end of 2019. Songs like Pust me do besede, Magnolije, and Generacija neba all earned Hit of the Week on Radio Val 202 and all three made it into the Top 10 most played tracks of the year on Val 202 in 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively.

Batista Cadillac kicked off 2022 with a refreshed lineup and had no trouble making it to the finals of the EMA competition with their smashing hit Mim pravil, where their flawless performance earned them an excellent runner-up finish. In May, the lads had a day releasing their first album, which they crowned with a sold-out gig at Kino Šiška and a series of concerts across Slovenia. Before their concert at SitiTeater, they also released a new single, Svet se podira vase, accompanied by the official music video.
